I`ll never understand balloon releases (see January 16, 2006; March 23, 2018; February 6, 2022; May 24, 2023; and October 9, 2023). It was a pleasant day to sit outside. She`s missing an arm and is wrapped in plastic. I hope she`ll be restored soon (see October 29, 2021). Same colorful pond, different duck (see October 28, 2022). Fall photos are nice, but I mourn the passing of summer.

Dia de los Muertos was celebrated inside the library. There was a parade indoors instead of on the street. Troupe Roja gave an outstanding performance. If my upbringing had been different, I might have been able to understand what he was singing. This quinceanera is celebrating her 15th birthday.

I arrived at a photo shoot dark and early at 6:30am. I spent the next ten hours in a high school hallway. The hallway was adorned with student artwork. Hundreds of cheerleaders posed in front of my camera. I had help keeping track of all the cheerleading squads.

A sewed a button back on with red thread. I have reached that age where I don`t care what people think. Someone else`s candy bowl ended up on my porch. There`s a long tradition in the Oregon District of moving leaves to the neighbor`s yard (see October 23, 2022). Utility pole idealism. Put some pants on. It`s getting cold.

November 5, 2024
A car made an illegal turn and almost ran me over, then another one did the same thing to her. Conestellation. There`s all this dough. Three hundred and fifty Gs! Do you hear what I`m saying? It`s in this box, buried under this big W. You`ll see it! You can`t miss it! A big, big W! (see June 5, 2019). A gift from my nutritionist. More test shots with my new camera (see October 23, 2024). I`m on page 337 of the 1,227 page manual.

Today I helped set up for the Dayton Book Fair. Thatsa lotta books. I bought this book many years ago and never read it, so I donated it to the Book Fair. This could be my old copy. Besides books, there`s all sorts of music too. There are lights on inside the new hotel and pictures hanging on the walls (see February 29, 2024). I hope I don`t need to tell you this isn`t my cat.

I paid $5 for parking. I paid $15 for admission. For $20, I stayed about 20 minutes. These were some expensive photos. This picture was free.

I spent the day at the World Linguine Championships. Veterans Day is coming soon. I am afraid of random patterns, but nature is not. As these pigeons flew around in circles, I tried to take pictures when their formation appeared less random. May you face life`s challenges with the stoicism of a gull.

The stars came out tonight in Piqua. My friend was in a Dancing with the Stars competition. I sat at a table with lots of other fans of Kelley King. Kelley`s fans helped the judges with the scoring. It was a fun event for a good cause (see November 5, 2022).

November 10, 2024
Taking photos every day gets hard at this time of year. Yup, November is very photogenic. My only outing was to Kroger. Can you see the sign? Desert Island Disc No. 1. I back up my data at least once a week. Do you?

November 11, 2024
Happy 39th birthday, WDPR! I bought some LEGO toys, but not for myself this time. It`s a visual metaphor, get it? The transformation continues (see October 18, 2024). This restaurant isn`t open yet, but it`s ready to serve.

November 12, 2024
It was a rough night for the home team (see February 14, 2024). Baskets were few and far between. Be of good cheer. This is a typical crowd for a women`s basketball game. But the small crowd meant I could sit at courtside, close enough to feel the swish of pom-poms.

November 13, 2024
I want to escape the changing seasons, but I`m trapped. Take me back to springtime! I`m nuts about squirrels. Only a VERY ATTENTIVE person would notice a small snake curled up alongside a large river. The pickup truck that almost ran me over today (see November 22, 2023). Note the crosswalk signal.

November 14, 2024
Some would-be vandal accidentally created art. A rainy November day. The furniture is in, pictures are hanging on the wall (see November 6 above) and now fitness equipment is being delivered. How much longer will the sidewalk be closed? On June 16, 1891, Paul Laurence Dunbar graduated from high school in this building. I`m learning a lot from Mark Stryker`s book (see October 9, 2024).

November 15, 2024
It`s dangerous to stand in a parking lot to take pictures. It`s beginning to look a lot like you know what. This morning, this tree was growing in Tipp City. This afternoon, it`s dying in Dayton. Putting that Forestry degree to work. The perfect end to the day.

November 16, 2024
There was an extraordinary concert at UD tonight. Young vocal students sang funk songs from the 1970s. The outfits and accessories were beyond words. Funk legend Shirley Murdock (left) was in the audience, but Minnita Daniel-Cox (right) convinced her to sing. Oh, and there was dancing.

Autumn leaves? Who cares. Give me November irises. On page 567 of my new camera manual, I learned something that made it easier to focus on this robin. The garden was crowded with flowers in the summer. Now there`s a sense of solitude here. Yes, I like details. I was in the parking lot heading toward my car, but then turned back to look for more birds. I`m glad I did.

November 18, 2024
On my way to make a delivery . . . . . . but I didn`t know where to park. And you thought your Christmas decorations were complicated. Closeout sale: all blessings half price. Martin Luther seems upset his church is closing.

November 19, 2024
Things get broken. These didn`t grow here: they were dropped or thrown. Do you think I PLAN to take pictures like this? Someone was playing `Laughter in the Rain` as I took this. I didn`t have an umbrella, so it wasn`t funny. Next window, please.

November 20, 2024
I can`t imagine life without music. It`s now that time of year when I shoot from windows. Where the theatre kids hang out. Speakers mounted on the wall imply there will be outdoor dining, so this sidewalk may never be passable like it once was (see November 14 above). Don`t cry.

November 21, 2024
Unknown people repair the lamppost in front of my house, and also keep it decorated for Christmas. Winter begins in a month. Why is it snowing today? I didn`t take this photo, but I got her to autograph it. If cats are there, I won`t be going. I feel betrayed by November.

November 22, 2024
Fall made a comeback today. The most dangerous crosswalk in downtown Dayton (see August 8, 2024). The holiday displays came together (see November 18 above) so I can see the creepy elves again. What am I thankful for? Nice people who bring gifts. If you donate enough money, you`ll get my autograph.

November 23, 2024
A hawk ate lunch right outside my kitchen window. Thanks to the hawk, there`s one less pigeon in the sky. An imposter has appeared (see September 2, 2024). Thursday`s snowflakes are Saturday`s droplets. It`s cold and dark and they`re doing an outdoor shoot.

November 24, 2024
Ginko trees like to wait before shedding their leaves. Only hours later did I notice all the bugs in this picture. I thought I saw a honeybee -- but it was just a hornet. It was only 3:45 and the sun was going down. Thinking of Claude.

November 25, 2024
Small tree, a few lights. Big tree, lots of lights. No tree, just lights. New lobby, big lights. Idiot driver, red lights.

November 26, 2024
My windshield this morning. The car was nice and warm. This steeple is going to be shockingly bright copper. Christmas is full of imagery people don`t understand. No more walking to work. I park in the creepy garage. My neighbors decorate while I sit inside and Ba-Humbug.

November 27, 2024
I suppose it`s a good thing the sub shop leaves leftovers outside, but troubling that there`s a need for them to. Signs of the season. What are you thankful for? Blooming beauty in November. This is also November. It`s finally finished, and it looks nice (see November 11 above).

November 28, 2024
My Thanksgiving tradition (see November 24, 2022). Looks good, but probably not for eating. It was carefully clutching something close to the chest. Today I actively sought out animals and avoided humans. I heard humans coming, so I took this and scurried away.

November 29, 2024
Window pane on a cold, snowy day. You were thankful yesterday. I`m thankful today. I`m particularly thankful for chocolate cheesecake. My first daily photos were taken in this same church basement (see May 25, 2004). Working on my day off.

November 30, 2024
A photo shoot in short sleeves when it`s 22 degrees. We were both surprised to see each other. There will probably be snow on this sculpture soon. When fall and winter collide. Today was Small Business Saturday, but for me it was Stay Home and Shiver Saturday.
