An invisible person is fixing my computer. Shredding secrets. Workplace hazards. Beware the slithering snow snake. I don`t understand why people do the things they do.

February 2, 2021
The first traffic signal was operated manually by a policeman standing nearby. It lasted one month. Trees and grass are better than concrete and metal. Frosty the snowman had to hurry on his way -- and didn`t watch where he was going. Looks a bit like sand on a beach -- but it`s not. Won`t you be my neighbor?

February 3, 2021
Window shopping. Fortunately, this kept me from walking into the river. What`s behind Door Number One? These photos reveal which way I went to work today. Riding high.

February 5, 2021
My skin gets dry and starts to peel in the winter. Urban canyon. Lord knows when the cold wind blows it`ll turn your head around. JAMES TAYLOR Thank goodness I have dirty dishes to take pictures of. I`ll wash dishes another day.

February 6, 2021
What did I tell you about this on November 14, 2020? An accurate representation of my neighborhood. Another culinary tragedy (see December 12, 2020). Other people`s photo shoots. Snowblob.

February 7, 2021
It was about 15 degrees today. I never left the house. I never opened the door. But I did take pictures out the window. And I took pictures OF the window.

February 8, 2021
What I see in my mind when some people talk too much. I wouldn`t need a winter coat -- or a mask. Can`t get enough cork today. I`m ready to sign off and go home. My commute is mercilessly cold but mercifully brief.

February 9, 2021
I forgot to put Cisco in the stable last night. Her bright red mate was too high for me to photograph. It`s pretty. Pretty cold. The stalactites of winter. Jeeves serves up hand sanitizer in a crystal decanter.

February 10, 2021
Do I have to? Is it fall already? Snow continues to fall. It`s insulting. My commute is only 10 minutes, but I complain anyway. There`s plenty of seating available on the patio.

February 11, 2021
This has been empty for years. The birds know better. A great place to sit with friends and chat about weather. Don`t tread on me. This is a slight improvement over January 4, 2021. Through the power of mental telepathy, I was able to stop this person from driving down a one way street.

February 12, 2021
It took me a while to convince myself that these mounds of snow occurred naturally (see November 12, 2015). I hate to get snow on my shoes. Old building down, new one going up (see December 8, 10 and 18, 2020). Watch your steps. It`s a coot, not a duck! It would disappear underwater for 15 seconds and resurface a long distance away.

February 13, 2021
I`m ready to put winter behind me. Valentine`s Day flowers are always a good idea. Squirrel launching pad. Raise your hands if you hate winter. Winter makes me puke.

February 14, 2021
I planned to stay inside all day, but the weather wasn`t horrible so I went on one errand. They play a song called `Let`s All Go to the Library` really loud to keep people from staying in the lobby. We could all use some stability. Wait -- what? People are GOING TO AN EVENT? This is how I go to events (see July 12, 2020).

February 15, 2021
Wondering if maybe he should have flown south. Again, I had no plans to go outside today, but here I am. Maybe a pine tree will sprout here next year. Lately I`ve been exploring black and white photography. Don`t put your tongue on that.

February 16, 2021
The snow removal strategy for downtown Dayton involved creating boulevards in the middle of the street. I hate winter in general and snow in particular, but overall it wasn`t a bad day. There`s plenty of seating available on the patio. Icicles mean it`s melting, so that`s a good sign. Contrasts.

February 17, 2021
`Go. GO. Hurry up and go!` Another day of Stuff With Snow. This looks like a natural formation (see February 12 above). This makes yesterday`s icicles seem a little pathetic. I would`ve stopped to photograph this even in summer.

February 18, 2021
It has become a daily routine. Ride the Love Bus! Stopped cold. After a journey of over 292 million miles, NASA`s Perseverance rover approaches the Red Planet. Reason No. 292 million of why I don`t like winter: it takes up valuable parking space (see October 21, 2020).

February 19, 2021
Unfortunately, today`s photos follow yesterday`s theme. This weather pattern has meteorologists baffled. Frozen peacock. Two male cardinals had a prolonged disagreement. Winter has the entire country in its icy grip.

February 20, 2021
Two seconds after I took this, it came crashing down. What may seem odd elsewhere is perfectly normal in the Oregon District (see January 31, 2021). Just because a lot of people do something doesn`t mean it`s right. It might not fall and kill you, but don`t take any chances. In winter, everybody knows where you go.

February 21, 2021
Why walk when you can ski? I`m ready to have something else to take pictures of. No offense, but I hope you cease to exist very soon. They`re in snow willingly, deliberately and intentionally. I`m actually doing reconnaissance for a photo shoot.

February 22, 2021
`Good clean lines. Design could be bolder. B-.` `Good line work. Still need bolder design. B+.` `Nice design. Could be larger in space. A-.` `Images could be bolder. Good concept. B-.` `Designs are filling the space better. Could use more color. B-.` And that`s how my 4.0 GPA was wrecked.

February 23, 2021
I`m still scouting locations for a snowy photo shoot (which was cancelled . . . oh well!). Explain to me how anyone could like winter. No sledding on a school day. On the outside looking in. I`m ready to attempt my ascent. Wish me luck.

February 24, 2021
Today was a preview of spring. I was happy. Making plans for the future together (see May 16, 2015). I like that it`s not totally dark when I get off work. Yesterday`s snow and ice is a big puddle today. Drop me a line.

February 25, 2021
Fourth Street has been blocked off for YEARS, but today I could finally walk on the sidewalk by the Arcade. There`s still a long way to go on the Arcade, however. I belatedly got the idea to hide a time capsule inside this new wall (see February 11 above). The door is broken, there`s a big jagged piece of wood next to it, and an air conditioner on a rusted platform above it. What could possibly go wrong? It was warm enough today to leave the windows open.

February 26, 2021
I couldn`t live without socks. Today the door opened automatically as I approached. Maybe somebody was watching (see August 14, 2020). Purifying the air, I think. Or just making humming noises. Check your mail. I bought two different kinds of wiper blades (see December 28, 2020, and January 18, 2021) and they can`t quite agree on who is responsible for this spot.

February 27, 2021
What a difference a week makes (see February 20 above). Timber. February flowers. Watch out for those claws. One half second of my Saturday afternoon.

February 28, 2021
The Pigeon sisters. I`m hope you don`t get board with my photos. Look down to look up. Yes, it`s still winter for a few more weeks. Waste and inefficiency: it`s the American way of life.
