I`m counting down the days until I can cast my vote! You can`t make an omelette unless . . . . . . you know how to make an omelette. I worked, then I worked, and then I worked some more. I tried to read a book, but I picked the wrong one.

Childhood memories in the making. This actually looks better than it did before. I waited for the clouds to go away to get this shot. It was more work, work, work, with a brief walk outside. When people start to believe that their existence is more significant than flowers, everything starts to break down.

September 3, 2020
Be unique, just like everyone else. As I took this photo, I was reminded: water is wet. The shadows tell me that summer is coming to an end. How to test drive a violin. For a nominal fee, you can get a customized paw (see August 31, 2020).

September 4, 2020
12:50pm. 6:15pm. I wasn`t here for the installation, but it was apparently a struggle. The old dishwasher may have been dragged out kicking and screaming. I`ll have to read the manual to figure out what these are.

September 5, 2020
She`s a multi-sport athlete (see June 10, 2020). Good advice. Nikon users tend to struggle (see May 31, 2017; September 5, 2014; March 11, 2014; December 18, 2012; and September 17, 2012). Five kilometers of coaching. La fille aux cheveux de lin.

How he reacts to mom`s hand will shape his personality. THOSE SQUIRRREELLLSSSSSS! (see July 19, 2020) Certain people decided that traffic in the Oregon District should be blocked off every weekend through October. I have expressed my opinion of this idea to certain people. I couldn`t believe my eyes when traffic was restricted. A dishwasher was installed and tested on September 4. I opened the door today and it was still very wet inside. It must be more airtight than the old dishwasher door.

September 7, 2020
Three birds together usually means conflict. Labor Day 2020. When a hummingbird appears, nothing else matters. `POLLEN! Must have more pollen!` There were two other bugs waiting in line for this plant.

September 8, 2020
Hmm, the START button on my new dishwasher is under the lip of the kitchen counter (September 4). Earning his daily bread. Foreground and background, waiting for me in an alley. Fueling up for the long flight to Mexico. My No. 1 rule of photography: closer is better.

September 9, 2020
Every morning you greet me. OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II (see July 31, 2020). Earning his daily shrubbery (see September 8 above). It`s hard to get started when the mornings are cool and damp. What, a flower with no bug? No, it wasn`t raining.

September 10, 2020
Of course you remember her from January 12, 2020. We met by chance on the sidewalk on a cold winter day. We agreed to get together again for a photo shoot. After eight months, it finally happened this evening. She was worth the wait.

September 11, 2020
AM I THE ONLY ONE NOT WORKING FROM HOME? I`m always shocked to see a cyclist obeying the law. I`m more accustomed to behavior like August 20, 2020. I fully support my neighbor`s baking experiments (see August 8, 2020). More gift cards? I`ll be forced to eat more good food. How I shop for groceries now. It`s hard to squeeze the cantaloupe.

September 12, 2020
Traffic in the Oregon District is again blocked off (see September 6 above). Only seven more weeks of this! Streets barricaded? No problem! Just drive on the wrong side of the road. Going to the library ain`t what it used to be, but I`m just glad it`s open. I`m not looking for photos of selfish drivers. They just present themselves in front of me. I could get around the Oregon District easier with this.

September 13, 2020
No, I didn`t. But some people did, with a can of Coke. Jim McCutcheon is The Guitar Man. No tangerine this year (see September 8, 2019). The big sparkle in the eye is the sun. The small one is me. Why anyone would do this to themselves is beyond me.

September 14, 2020
Yesterday it was donuts. Today it`s cheesecake. Now THIS I`ll eat any day. The room seems less cluttered than in the past (see September 10, 2017). Dinner. Cleaning up afterward.

September 15, 2020
Yesterday it was cheesecake. Today it`s cookies. It`s functional -- it`s fashionable. Keep smiling. Top gull. Now you see him, now you don`t.

September 16, 2020
No, not again. We just went through this last year. Autumn princess. Now I`m going to sneeze. Staring contest. I won. Flower, bee, photographer: we`re all past our prime.

September 17, 2020
Keeping an eye on my investments. That`s why they call it a twister. It was a long and challenging day at work, and so I came to the garden in the evening instead of the morning. It`s quiet in the morning, but in the evening the road was full of idiot drivers speeding and running red lights. Craspedia, drumsticks, billy buttons, wooly heads -- all the same thing.

September 18, 2020
It was another long and challenging day in radioland. But one of our listeners brought us encouragement. Enough music for four hours. Wearing the team colors. At the end of a successful fundraising campaign, we popped the cork on a bottle of hand sanitizer.

September 19, 2020
No work of art is ever finished (see August 1, 2020). Some works of art are finished, only to be destroyed. Not every type of painting is a work of art. Reflections on the Oregon District. Other people`s photo shoots.

September 20, 2020
I know an author. She knows all sorts of stuff about food and stuff. I know how to eat, and so it works out nicely. Cocoa shared her toys with me. The cat just stared at me apathetically. There`s a hobbit hole underneath the stairs.

September 21, 2020
I`m looking forward to this expiration date. What Boy Blue was working on (see September 19 above). The entire history of the Oregon District is right here. Summer becomes autumn. I`m making progress on organizing my photos.

September 22, 2020
Will it last through the winter (see July 30, 2020)? The world is a very trashy place. I used to think so. Now I`m business casual. Chromaticism for its own sake. Don`t get caught dead without your mask.

September 23, 2020
Who wants blue teeth? He recorded himself on video risking his life in the street. `Hi! Hi! Let`s be friends! Okay? Hi! Can we?` Reflections on downtown. Looking to see if I had any food -- but pretending not to.

September 24, 2020
I had a meeting this morning to discuss the long-term future of my photos. My normal route to work was blocked. This was my alternate route. I paid for something with paper money -- and four pennies. `When I squat like this, no one can see me.`

September 25, 2020
Where I went to kindergarten. Where I went to 1st and 2nd grades. Where I went to 3rd and 4th grades. Where I went to 5th and 6th grades. Where I went to 7th through 12th grades.

September 26, 2020
It`s boring to watch football from the stands. It was SHS versus SHS today in Springboro. It was a high scoring game, which makes for good pictures. I assume they`re smiling. When the backup quarterback started warming up in the fourth quarter, I knew it was time for me to leave.

September 27, 2020
Boy Blue was here (see September 19 above). After a long absence, Betty White the tripedal cat has returned (see July 5, 2019). History is always changing (see September 21 above). Blocking off streets in the Oregon District has been a dream for businesses, but a nightmare for residents. `There might be monarchs in those flowers,` I thought. I`m glad I listened to myself.

September 28, 2020
Autumn was waiting for me at the curb. A good photographer always has to be ready to crouch. I almost fell in while taking this one. Be unique, just like everyone else (see September 3 above). The flower will wither, but this photo will live on.

September 29, 2020
Claws like razors, teeth like needles. Fluffy tail, though. The conversation has changed (see August 27, 2020). It`s impossible to have too many monarch pictures. The streets of the Oregon District are like a drag strip. I really wonder about people who celebrate Halloween.

September 30, 2020
A bald eagle flew over before I had my camera out, so you get a goose instead. A Celebration of Bicycling by Jerome B. Meadows. It kept ringing every 15 minutes, reminding me that I should probably be someplace else. The wind was blowing so hard, this gull was flying backwards. The little passenger was wearing a helmet too.
