The ukulele originated in Europe, found its way to Hawaii, and now it`s working its way east again. The berries on top make it healthy for me to eat. Wait, is that a COSTUME? The Easter Bunny isn`t real! I didn`t get a photo when he grabbed a turtle from the pond, but here he is going after the koi. Other people`s photo shoots.

Lacking anywhere specific to go, I just followed the sun. People tend to look in the direction I point my camera. In the sun, it almost felt like spring. Still trying to perfect the moonwalk (see June 29, 2009). Sir, your steering wheel is on the wrong side.

I`m glad the levee keeps the river from flooding the city. It`s just a bonus that it has nice pictures painted on it. `Who can that be at the door? HOLD ON I`M COMING!` I`d avoid the bike lane if I were you. Nature tried several ways to kill me today. The rain to the wind said, `You push and I`ll pelt.` They so smote the garden bed that the flowers actually knelt. ROBERT FROST.

A Chinese space lab has come down in Dayton, Ohio. No, wait, it`s a `sensorium` by University of Dayton Visual Arts student Melanie Zebrowski. `Join the Club` by UD Visual Arts major Kelly McGuire. Not an art project: the stairway at my parking garage. Art of a different kind by Sinclair Culinary Arts students.

Light work. Suspension of disbelief. We won`t run out of printer paper for a long time. More people are coming to downtown Dayton, so new buildings have to be constructed to put them in. The frantic screeching of this falcon led me in an unfamiliar direction, where I got some unusual photos.

Despite early April snow, it really is springtime. A swallow skims the rough seas hunting for insects. The less maneuverable goose eats bugs in the grass. Oh come on, smile! My former creepy parking garage celebrates one year of being condemned.

April 7, 2018
Window shopping. My photos are sometimes deep with meaning, sometimes not. For February 7, this would`ve been a beautiful day. However today is April 7, so it was brutally cold. As the dunebuggy driver sped around the corner, Heater`s life flashed before his reptilian eyes. It was a cold opening night at the Dragons` stadium.

April 8, 2018
NOTICE: Today`s picnic has been postponed. Be proud: orange feet, green head, yellow bill. Today was cold, but he was singing his springtime song. Castles made of sand. Did I mention it was cold today?

April 9, 2018
This really needs to stop. The ghost of Leon Bates. Now I won`t need to buy a new mattress. Have you meet my friend Rusty? Coiled and ready to strike.

April 10, 2018
Not every spring day is a pleasant day. Everyone should have a gull in life. I`m sure that`s not dangerous at all. This doesn`t apply to ME, right? By the time I leave, my parking garage is mostly empty.

April 11, 2018
I think it`ll be finished early. Bandit on your six. Flotsam and jetsam. The sun goes down on the last day of wintry weather. Somebody decided that I need a purple shirt.

April 12, 2018
Her hairstyle is recyclable. Some rules are just made to be broken. The O stands for Onyx, not oranges. The color guard world championships begin today! I watched only one team today. Tomorrow I`ll be busy.

Terre Haute South HS. Pace HS. Grassfield HS. Westwood HS. Decatur Central HS.

April 14, 2018
Ovation. 3rd Legend. Cumberland Valley HS. Decatur Central HS. Another world championship comes to an end.

I left this floor at about 1am, and was back at 10am. After a long weekend of competition, they kept dancing. It cost $25 to dance, $10 to watch, but I got in for free. WE CAN DO IT! They got some new dance steps and encouragement.

My car has unrealistic expectations. Yes, it`s snowing on April 16. I have ceased to care. All of today`s pictures were taken from my car. And, believe me, the heater was running in my car. Snowflakes or spring blooms? It`s hard to tell.

April 17, 2018
City robin. They seem to be surviving the snow all right. What would I do if I couldn`t take pictures of birds? Looking for the next bird. Let it forever be silent.

April 18, 2018
What this neighborhood needs is a hungry hawk. And then it started to rain. Some kids never put away their toys. An announcement to the world? Twolips.

April 19, 2018
A spicy carrot juice called Sup Doc from Table 33. Springtime is my favorite season, and blossoming trees are quite possibly my favorite thing about springtime. Straight lines sometimes go in curves. Onelip. I`m getting ready for another incredibly busy weekend.

April 20, 2018
FIU Indoor Percussion. Farragut HS. Gulf Breeze HS. Lake Orion HS. Unionville HS.

April 21, 2018
Audio Theater. Sparkman HS. Civitas Independent. ConneXus. Another world championship comes to an end.

April 22, 2018
My plan for the day didn`t work out, so I found myself at beautiful Benham`s Grove for the first time in years. Wedding season is upon us. Is it really spring this time? Three male cardinals were in the same tree, so there was a lot of aggressive posturing. I looked up so much, I almost forgot to look down.

April 23, 2018
I never use a camera strap. But when I take photos for twelve hours straight, I use a camera strap. I never worry about white balance. But when I take photos in arena lighting, I worry about white balance. I never wear earplugs. But when I take photos of color guard and percussion day after day, I wear earplugs. I never need more than one battery charger. But for WGI weekends, I need more than one battery charger. I never use a tripod ring. But when I take 31,494 photos in five days with a huge lens, I use a tripod ring.

April 24, 2018
Why one in four Americans is obese. I never use a camera bag. No, wait -- I always use a camera bag. Hey, check this out. Making tracks. I tried not to take any pictures in the kitchen, but I failed.

April 25, 2018
That`s my soul up there. THE POLICE The downtown arcade is a sleeping giant. American sportsman. Has government surveillance finally gone too far? Then a park ranger began questioning the sportsman.

April 26, 2018
!REGNAD Aphrodite Emerging from Her Bath. Peel me a tulip. My picture-taking probably makes people suspicious. Keep your city clean.

April 27, 2018
I took it easy and had just one of each. A sign of things to come. I`m guessing this probably shouldn`t be here. Keep looking up. They pedaled slowly past, singing `Country Roads Take Me Home,` annoying the drivers behind them.

April 28, 2018
It was cold and cloudy, so I provided my own light. I told the people in my photography workshop today to `shoot flowers from flower height,` and they do as I say. We could all use photography advice now and then. Softly, as in a morning sunrise. OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II They`re obviously illegal immigrants.

April 29, 2018
I saw butterflies today for the first time this spring. Like a bee, I wanted to stick my nose in it. What a day! The white-breasted nuthatch is an uptight little bird. There were LOTS of pictures that didn`t turn out so well.

April 30, 2018
Let the sparks fall where they may. Many miles away, something crawls from the slime at the bottom of a dark Scottish lake. STING I didn`t know ducks could read. The brevity of perfection. What are you trying to say, girl? Billy fell in the river?
