Normally they fly away when I get this close. Do you know where I put my keys? All that`s left of my non-prize-winning door decorations (see December 10, 2014). I went to a lot of trouble to take this picture for you on a cold winter night. You`re welcome. y New Year.

`Mommy, why is he taking a picture of that garbage can?` `I don`t know, honey. Keep walking and don`t look at him.` Inside my creepy parking garage. Looking out the window of the creepy parking garage. Oh great, my car`s dirty. I need a new one. This is what 8 degrees looks like.

Patiently waiting for the ice INSIDE my windshield to melt. Fortunately, garbage collectors got the day off. Red hots. Beam me up. Life`s too short to listen to music I don`t really like.

Oh, what a knight! Coincidentally, I also photographed chess pieces and bubble wrap on my first day taking photos: May 25, 2004. Obviously, I`ve come a long way in ten and a half years. I only have eyes for you. The voice of authority. I think we can agree today`s photos are not my best work. Tomorrow is another day. But it`ll be even colder.

January 14, 2015
It`s truly a shame when I motivate myself to go outside on a terrible day and this is all there is to take pictures of. Sometimes an outstanding caption can justify a picture. Not this time. This is my town: Dayton, Ohio. I can`t come back, I don`t know how it works! Goodbye! THE WIZARD OF OZ I occasionally wash my dishes.

Shoulda put a quarter in the meter. Thanks for nothing. Yet another solitary figure walking through a city scene (see January 5, 7, 12 and 14 above, and December 30, 2014). Some day I`m going to get punched. Gotta get me one of them red plastic bags. Adam Alonzo, nature photographer.

January 16, 2015
Some dude nearby ducked for cover as I took this picture. Probably on the run from the FBI. Not surprisingly, I was the only person at the park today. Paul thaw. I`ll be glad when I my pro camera comes back from repair. After having the same license plates for such a long time, I`m not sure I`ll ever be able to memorize my new number.

A couple of coots came south to visit Ohio for the winter. They`d dive into the water and stay under a LONG time. Yes, and more than a couple of these came to Ohio too. Wipe your beak. All work and no play. This must be symbolic of something but I don`t know what.

January 24, 2015
My favorite kind of thing to take pictures of: indoors in winter, free admission, interesting action, good lighting. If that were me, I`d be holding my nose. Well no, I wouldn`t. I`d be standing by the edge of the pool taking pictures. The less a photograph shows, the better it is. Don`t get between him and the finish line. Take your mark. Get set. BEEP!

January 25, 2015
Back at ya! Photoshop can`t save this picture. As long as it still works, I don`t care what it looks like. Sweet potato fries: they taste good, they smell good. There`s a winter wonderland outside my window tonight. However, I would much rather have a spring wonderland.
