November 1, 2020
I`m pretending it`s not November. Shadows and light. The leaves are starting to turn colors (see August 30, 2017). Ghost of yesterday, every night you`re here, whispering away. ARTHUR HERZOG, JR. I didn`t see any pumpkins smashed in the street, though I found one getting smashed on a porch.

Next year has to be better than this year, right? I must admit I bought this CD for the cover photo. On air for another 3 1/2 minutes. Near the exit sign. That extra hour of sleep on Sunday cost me dearly in daylight on Monday.

November 3, 2020
Goodbye, prairie. I hope we can meet again next year. Sowing the seeds for the next generation. I hate it when I wake up with a face full of pollen. Hanging on for another day. Signs of the times.

November 4, 2020
Leaves . . . people . . . we both end up the same way. Fluting in the fall. I`m looking for Section 80, so this isn`t helpful. Let`s all donate money to Woodland so they can get more signs. My guardian angel refused to lead me to Section 80. Can these be recycled?

November 5, 2020
I went back to Woodland, better prepared this time. My face after spending an hour wandering around. I spent a lot of my `dash` uselessly looking for a grave. My parking garage has puddles when it`s not raining. When sandwich delivery becomes hazardous.

November 6, 2020
`I just want to stick my toes in for a minute.` I saw something moving that wasn`t a bird or chipmunk. Getting to the center of things. They were falling around me like rain. Goodbye, Smith Garden. I hope we can meet again next year.

November 7, 2020
That`s how I felt when I woke up this morning. The artist at work (see October 14 and 24, 2020). Dayton welcomes you! The new Christmas tree apparently needed a trim. This tree is about as tall as me.

Even a troll knows to wear a mask. It`s 80 degrees in November, so igloos are unnecessary. Have you sanitized lately? Yes, it`s warm, but still 20 degrees colder in the garage. Remember when people went to the store to buy things?

November 10, 2020
Flying in formation. The secret to success is achieving balance. Oregon District, circa 1870. I can smell the roses even through my mask. He has overstayed his welcome.

November 11, 2020
Hang in there! It won`t matter. Squirrel feast. The Oregon District bridge mural is finished. The inside of the bridge could probably be repainted. Hang in there! It won`t matter.

November 12, 2020
Do what the little old lady on the bus tells you. High over Courthouse Square (see November 7 above). This is probably the BEFORE picture to an AFTER picture I haven`t yet taken. Restoring the Arcade is a huge job, but these two can handle it. Synchronized sleeping.

November 13, 2020
It`s never good when the first picture I take all day is after dark. See, these buildings are different than the last photo. My misspelled note reminds me to avoid downtown construction (see October 23, 2020, and November 7 above). Four pictures and I haven`t even left the parking garage. Now everyone can hear me better in my Zoom meetings.

November 14, 2020
Same tree as October 8 and 29, 2020. Or, what`s left of it. Guess which neighbor doesn`t shovel their snow either. There`s still plenty of room for your cat on this mural (see August 1, 2019, and January 12, 2020). Not sure if this is supposed to be a cat. Look around and be reminded of the brevity of your life.

November 15, 2020
Imagine a world without plastic bags. Imagine a world without face masks. I thought I was going to walk outside. I was wrong. The weather couldn`t decide what it wanted to do. Growing old gracefully.

November 16, 2020
The wrong tool for the job. The right tool for the job. An undisciplined poodle was a meaningful part of my childhood, but I have no desire for a pet now. Turn off the screen and pick up a book. Somebody threw away autumn.

November 17, 2020
My hopes and dreams. There`s always hope. I went beach combing at lunch. Why I take `Fift Street to work` (see November 13 above). I had my winter coat on. It wasn`t enough.

November 18, 2020
If you feel like donating, don`t forget about libraries. No, that`s fine. Just park anywhere. Oh great, now even Fift Street is torn up. It had been nibbled on, but not by a human. There`s still an American flag on the moon.

November 19, 2020
`Seriously? Are you kidding me right now?` said everyone just trying to drive in downtown Dayton today. My city has been through a lot, but we will survive. The tree is still being decorated (see November 12 above). The most important thing about photography is just being where the pictures are. I believe in revitalizing our infrastructure, but I`ve also gotta drive to work.

November 20, 2020
If you point the camera up, you`ll get a nature photo. The things that keep us safe also tend to confine us. Do not go gentle into that good night. DYLAN THOMAS Growing with quiet persistence. On top of the world.

November 21, 2020
Laundry day. You do wash your masks, right? I nearly broke the towel rack to get that last shot. Expectation vs. reality. Five pictures taken in three room.

November 22, 2020
Dull photos outside are better than dull photos inside. And so it begins. I understand how some people think autumn is pleasant. Time, I`ve been passing time watching trains go by. ALAN AND MARILYN BERGMAN Trash of 2020: election guides and face masks.

November 23, 2020
I was supposed to teach a photography workshop here this year. I was supposed to do a lot of things this year. Mallards in Canada migrate south, and mallards in Mexico migrate north, but Ohio has mallards year round. November. I heard children`s voices nearby. I went the other way. My photos are selling well.

November 24, 2020
And that`s just with his LEFT hand. Note to self: don`t go to work this way. These `flowers` on the lawn of Levitt Pavilion express support for people living with Alzheimer`s. A fellow passenger on the road of life. The restoration of the Dayton Arcade involves nine large buildings and millions of tiny details.

November 25, 2020
The story of today. I become unbalanced when the rhythm of the windshield wipers doesn`t match the music I`m listening to. It`s beginning to look a lot like you know what. Unfortunately, I left my umbrella in the car. In honor of a friend who just got some important news.

November 26, 2020
No one else at the park means I don`t need a mask! Did I say there was no one else at the park? Do you want purple teeth? The home construction market has been booming. If you have happiness inside, it`s easy to see outside.

November 27, 2020
Hazardous restoration work continues across the street (see August 2, 2020). The little birds of the neighborhood got nervous when a hawk swooped in. A skateboard won`t let you pass through solid objects. The little birds of the neighborhood got nervous when a helicopter thundered in. Can you spot the narcissist in this picture?

November 28, 2020
Without light, there is no photograph. A picture of normality. The sun was harsh, but in late November I`ll take it. Never point your camera at the sun. I am past my prime.

November 29, 2020
Shadow in the sky. I wonder `Is that the same gull?` (see October 1 and 28, 2020). The gull wonders, `Is that the same human?` Do you have one cold hand? As winter sets in, animals fight greedily over the dwindling food supply. Ruffles are especially scarce. A mysterious monolith has appeared in Dayton, Ohio.

November 30, 2020
I hate the white stuff. My neighbors` backyard lights wake me up at night. I hate the icy stuff. My room was messy, so I turned off the light. It`s still going. I still hate it.
