I shot this picture before 9:00 am and it took me about twelve hours before I started to like it. This cat -- and its fleas -- would soon flee. You expect a caption for this? The immovable statue lady turned in my direction as soon as she noticed I had a camera. I live in an interesting neighborhood.

A Saturday morning in the springtime, alone in a garden park, nobody there but me and nature.  Life is good. Did you see that movie `The Neverending Story`? On the ground were lots of tiny frogs -- smaller than a thumbnail -- that had been tadpoles five minutes earlier. One of these days I`m going to fall in. One of my most extraordinary experiences happened when this little guy placed a morsel of food at my feet.  I felt like an honorary member of the chipmunk kingdom.

Cardinals are usually skittish, but we were both enjoying this beautiful spring morning, so we shared a moment. This is shaping up to be a bird day. I was hoping a bird would offer me a tasty worm or bug, but they weren`t as generous as yesterday`s chipmunk. I also took pictures of butterflies, bees and flowers, but none of them made the cut. An awful lot of birds today, but each was a good photo.

Dayton Dragons drumline. This was difficult. Every brick you see was put there by hand long ago. Most of what goes on has nothing to do with baseball. Up to no good.

This cat can`t read the sign at the entrance that says NO PETS. Sometimes you get lucky, but usually it takes lots of patience and persistence.  Today wasn`t a lucky day. There was a bit of luck involved here. I`m copying myself (see June 28, 2015). I took more than twenty shots of this dragonfly -- patiently and persistently.

Off to work! There was a berry feeding frenzy at this tree today. Quite possibly the same cardinal from June 1 above. Guess which direction the sun was in. This could finally be your year.  Nah . . .

Morning commute. With bees scarce and butterflies almost nonexistent, this has been a big year for dragonfly photos. All it takes to get photos like this are an expensive, high-resolution camera and expensive telephoto lens. Trampoline of death. I spend my mornings among birds, bugs and blooms, before I have to go to work and be an adult in an office.

Juvenile birds give away their location by their frequent `I`m hungry` peeps.  And they`re too young to be afraid. Here a baby bird was peeping and mom came over to find it.  Dad was looking down on me with disapproval. Big happenings are happening on the river. However, there are some undesirable immigrants here. The undesirable geese were rounded up in a net and hauled away to a government re-education center.

Just bugs and blooms today, no beasts or birds. Bumble B. This was much harder than it looks. Yes, it`s just a creepy fly, but it`s a nearly perfect photo. A butterfly fluttered by and I waited in vain for it to return.
