March Madness: in the first round of the tournament, the No. 8 seed faces the No. 1 seed. Whose idea was that? The crowd is the sixth man. And that, my little friend, is a screen. Transition game. Community college footwear.

I now park in a DIFFERENT creepy parking garage. If you can read this, you`re all wet. Anyone is crazy to take pictures on such a cold evening. Here`s what he was pointing his camera at. There`s still time for a quick swim before it gets dark.

Beyoncé - Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It). Michael Jackson - Beat It. Pharrell Williams - Happy. Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass. Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Want To Have Fun.

It sat there all day with the engine running. Hi! Urbanization is now complete. A dull picture, certainly, but it represents 4,301 days in a row of taking photographs, so I suppose it`s not that bad. Here am I.

Warming up for St. Patrick`s Day. Extra points for smiling. Not everyone does. Irish dance is traditional, and yet it`s evolving. Dayton hosted a small Irish dancing competition today. Photographing the competition was reel fun!

Cardinals are beginning to sing their springtime song. Visual echoes make me happy. Make me happy. The eye of the sparrow watches me. Meanwhile, remnants of winter still linger. When I buy these cookies, I`m helping a Girl Scout learn financial responsibility, how to make change, and so on.

March 7, 2016
It`s good to have a saint in your corner. You`ll have a nightmare about the Easter Bunny tonight. Do you like chess nuts? There`s still an Obama poster in the window. Why so tense?

March 8, 2016
Lunchtime serenade. They were just about to land. Well, not LAND on water. No strings attached. Just passing through. The extended editions, of course.

March 9, 2016
The new -- well, not NEW -- creepy garage where I park (see February 29, 2016). The old tires keep cars from bumping into the wall. I don`t blow my horn, I just turn up the Van Halen. And please ponder the spelling of the hand painted letters. This is why I`m taking pictures inside a parking garage. Supernova.

More fun with flowers in the kitchen. That`s a priceless vase that has been in the family for generations. I`ll soon be able to take photos like this OUTDOORS. Lots of background blur at f/2.8. Very little background blur at f/32. I got my $8 worth for these flowers.

March 11, 2016
Remembering Sandy Kinnamon. Thanks to the good people of Enon, Ohio, who yielded the road to a slowly-moving, horse-drawn funeral procession. In keeping with her personality, Sandy`s funeral turned into a cheerful experience. Keep smiling. Flowers photographed in the wild, not in my kitchen.

Watch your step. Is this my country? My community? What time change? OK OK. And then it started to rain.

March 13, 2016
I can take my pictures real quick, right? WRONG! I got soaked. Wait -- is she going to jump off of that -- YES! At first, the rain wasn`t too bad. At this point, it REALLY started to rain -- but these were my first daffodils of the season, so I had to take a photo. And by now, it was pointless to try to stay dry.

March 14, 2016
That red symbol means `I [am disillusioned and yet continue] VOTING.` There are lots of leaks in my creepy parking garage. It was a mistake to put my bag down in the filthy garage. It`s nEsting season. Where the spaceship landed.

March 15, 2016
Somebody`s life depends on those cables. ROW! ROW! ROW! And then an angry goose nearly took my head off. Sometimes it`s difficult to bounce back (see March 14 above). Normally I avoid shadows, but not always.

March 16, 2016
The new library is going to be purple and blue. Taking pictures of a federal courthouse is risky behavior. Urban sunrise. Ever upward. Happy St. Patrick`s Day!

March 17, 2016
Getting an early start on Easter. Instead of a flat roof, Eastern Orthodox churches have domes that symbolize the sky. A Trip to the Moon. Smudged. The sacred among the secular.

March 18, 2016
The recklessness of youth. LilyCat. In Yellow Springs, even the trees wear beads. Womannequin. Keeping time on Xenia Street.

March 19, 2016
The Guitar Man, Jim McCutcheon. Warming up. The first day of spring, and my first Fronana of the year. I had to sit on a friendly Fronana face. An impromptu game of Jenga was going on nearby.

March 20, 2016
Your daily daffodil. House finch in a hurry. Don`t track mud in the house. Evening over the river. The non-narcissistic selfie.

March 21, 2016
Where will the path of life lead me? Clearly my best bird photo ever. The carillonneur rides a tiny elevator to that little box, where he uses an awkward keyboard to play the bells. The first victim of springtime. I`m not sure about this.

March 22, 2016
Twelve years of taking photos and this is my first bat. The Oregon District at night. $15. Fifth Street constellation. We`ll leave the light on for you.

March 23, 2016
It was another rainy day inside the parking garage (see March 15 above). Window to the world. You really need to get a Larry Coressel umbrella. This is me working late. Back in the parking garage. And that was my day.

March 24, 2016
One way or another, this will end today. If one tiara is good luck, then more can only be better. During fundraising, money never comes in fast enough. Spooky face in a champagne bottle. The fundraising campaign ended successfully.

March 25, 2016
Your daily daffodil. Potential. Last week I was too busy to pay attention to spring. She`s envisioning her dream nest. Other people came into the park and said that there weren`t very many flowers. Huh?

March 26, 2016
This weekend was exceptionally beautiful, and I took my first bee, butterfly and dragonfly pictures of the season. The cardinals were loudly debating about nesting space. My butterfly picture was boring, so you get another bee. Tu tulips. A moment later, the fish jumped out of the water and tried to catch the dragonfly, but it flew away just in time.

March 27, 2016
A well-groomed, but suspicious, mallard. After a warm weekend, winter made a comeback today. It was too cold to kneel down for this shot. This gives me the chills. The city cousin to yesterday`s country cardinal.

March 28, 2016
The French call it craquelure. Me, on a door. The Schuster Center, from an oblique angle. Have you met my big brother? So that`s why I feel like sneezing right now.

March 29, 2016
Balcony scene. Contrasts. By the time you see this, the flower is already gone. Enjoying a sunny afternoon. Monolith.

March 30, 2016
Everything was much simpler when I was six years old. I managed not to get rained on (see March 14 above). Playground geometry. Dayton Beach. Easter is over.
