Lot A, delineated. Have you seen my missing S? Nature is sometimes straight, but more often it`s curved. A peaceful place of prayer. The low point of my neighborhood.

July 2, 2011
My letter carrier makes me laugh sometimes. Ouch! Shoulda used sunscreen. Did you see that movie `Rear Window`? Feel free to use the yellow bikes, but don`t expect any luxuries -- such as a seat. (See May 13, 2011). And then suddenly, he was gone.

July 3, 2011
I wasn`t sure if this big bug could hurt me, but nature often uses the color red as a warning, so I treated it respectfully. Such a simple, short life it leads. No questions like, `What should I do today? What is the meaning of my existence?` Daisy discovery. There are tiny bugs in this shot too, but I won`t make you look at them. Several years ago, a photography teacher advised me to cherish mistakes. At the time, I thought, `Yeah, whatever.`

Happy 235th Birthday! Say Uncle. I`m so grateful that I have my camera, since otherwise I might have to be out there. Patriotic pooch. Youthful enthusiasm.

July 5, 2011
The flowers, my friend, are blowin` in the wind. Slivers of sunset. Trees turn sunlight into energy. Why can`t we? Sunset. Did you see that movie `Gaslight`?

July 6, 2011
BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! Sprinkler sparkles. Put a stamp on the back of this picture and mail it. Flowers are the extroverts of the plant kingdom, as opposed to the more introverted grass and grains. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!

July 7, 2011
Resting up before attacking me again (see June 19, 25 and 29, 2011). Poor relation of the flower. The history of transportation. Rise above your obstacles. They don`t make `em like that anymore.

July 8, 2011
One what? Does it matter that it`s Day No. 2600 of my daily photos? No, I didn`t think so. Here`s where I turned around and went back home. I bought these in February and managed not to lose them. My ability to distinguish between the left and right signs means I don`t pay to park when I go downtown for a show.

July 9, 2011
I feel like I`m not SUPPOSED to see something this small. I moved on before anyone could call the police. Another small secret. It flew away just as I was about to get REALLY close. I hope this finally clears up any doubt that I was born in the United States.

July 10, 2011
It was a bug and flower day, that`s for sure. Daisy drinker. The bee`s fatal bumble. `What in the world is THAT?` I said. `I`m an eight-spotted forester moth,` it said. Waiting for bugs.

July 11, 2011
Benevolent decay. I shoulda learned to play the geetar, I shoulda learned to bang them drums. DIRE STRAITS Approach . . . quietly . . . don`t frighten it. Beware the mark of the pink hand! I laughed at this one, but there were others that really scared me and set off nearby car alarms.

July 12, 2011
And me without a can of spray paint. Only in the city. This is in the city too. Urban scarecrow. The sun also rises.

July 13, 2011
A spider sleeps here. When shooting a clear blue sky, all sorts of flaws in a camera and lens are revealed. Okay, it`s Wednesday morning. Which pill should I take? This isn`t even my closeup lens. It`s just good glass. How they do a pollen count: one, two, three, four . . .

July 14, 2011
I think yellow paint was on sale one day. I need to be more careful. I almost hit my head. This grass is off limits. Everything slides inevitably toward deterioration. I didn`t have to wait on this shadow. It was already there.

July 15, 2011
On the rare occasion bees get mad, they usually come after the camera, not me. I haven`t been stung . . . yet. Butterflies very rarely attack the camera. Endless options await on the path ahead. With eyes that large, it probably saw me get out of my car. Since you`ve been so good, you get TWO bees today.

July 16, 2011
Someone called my name at this moment, but I had to finish taking the picture before I looked up. Solar flares. I taught a workshop today about closeup photography. These students are practicing what I preached. One of my workshop participants discovered this web and we both struggled to capture it clearly with our cameras. This will soon bloom into a massive blossom.

July 17, 2011
It was a hot day to play the blues. It was hot enough to cook a chicken on the sidewalk. Trio of leaves. Iron bars can`t restrain nature. Squirrels often run away from me and my camera, but this one seemed content to just stand there and pose.

July 18, 2011
Final resting place for those people who don`t want to get rained and snowed upon for all eternity. I found the founder (though I wasn`t looking for him). This is not a stained glass window. It`s a mirror. The window is behind me. `Dear Groundskeeping Crew: Perhaps when you have a moment, you could TRIM MY TREE.` Final resting place for those people who don`t like rain or snow, but want to be outside anyway.

July 19, 2011
You can trigger an off-camera flash using a wired or wireless device, as shown here, or with your thumb (as I did in this shot since my wire and wireless were posing). That small nuclear explosion is an on-camera flash. Television doesn`t make any sense to me. You`re getting sleepy. It`s that time of year when I don`t park my car underneath the tree in front of my house.

July 20, 2011
My plan for today was to take all five of my photos while standing in the shade. Urban wildlife. Wow, I`d hate to see the bees that made those. Using first curtain flash, these rubber balls seem to be falling up. Using second curtain flash, these rubber balls look normal as they fall.

July 21, 2011
My camera and hands were soaked with dew after this. Much better than the spider web photo on July 13 above. Camera shy. Not my first dewy daisy picture, but perhaps my best. The Gang of Six.

July 22, 2011
Fred Flinstone`s pants. Seen enough flowers lately? Yeah, me too. I get out the blurry lens when I`m short on inspiration. Morning in the Oregon District, USA. I waited creepily on the corner until the homeowner drove away, and then I moved in for the shot. Their dog barked, but I wasn`t worried: it was only a poodle.

July 23, 2011
Did you see that movie `To Kill a Mockingbird`? Snake in the garden. Really -- I`ll back off the flowers for a while. Dayton dragon. It`s not just for breakfast anymore.

July 24, 2011
Someday . . . I`ll be able to ride without training wheels. I love new parking lots. Submerged sun. The Gem City. I took shelter from the hot sun underneath this stairway and ended up with a very strange tan.

July 25, 2011
`Let`s see . . . birds or mice for breakfast?` BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! On the outside looking in. Under the railroad bridge. Walk of light.

July 26, 2011
Midsummer reflections. You`re welcome. Can I have mine without the veggies? A visual metaphor for workplace communication. No parking.

July 27, 2011
Nature preserve. Oh, come to the church in the wildwood. In the Oregon District, this is someone`s living room. Don`t do this, don`t do that. I AM NOT A ROLE MODEL! Puppet by Karen McGarry.

July 28, 2011
Look to the right. Look to the left. Look straight ahead. Standing on the art. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.

July 29, 2011
The afterburner is a nice touch. Returning safely from another mission. Recruiting poster. This gives you a sense of scale. There`s a party going on right here.

July 30, 2011
Say farewell to those awkward teenage years. The Dayton Visual Arts Center is 20 years old! The White Soots led everyone in the birthday song. It will be a memorable year ahead for DVAC. The collectin` o` the green.

July 31, 2011
My real name is Adam O`Lonzo. I had to give up my promising career as an Irish dancer because of all the expensive costumes. This Irish band is called Enter the Haggis. Would I make that up? Cooling off.
